Fashion Styling Short Course

Next Course Start Date: 15th March 2009

fashion stylingThe AIMS course in Fashion Styling & Finishing is a short course designed to provide students with information on styling for catwalk, photo shoots, personal makeovers, newspaper and magazine editorials. A stylist is not a designer but an interpreter of fashion, styling is the art of co-ordinating fashion with accessories, hair, make-up and the appropriate models to create an image for a specific outcome.

The stylist combines all the above to create a total look for photo shoots, catwalk appearances, newspaper and magazine editorials, movies and stage productions. The course also involves a finishing component which covers areas such as modelling, grooming, makeover tuition, etiquette, tips for job interviews, and training in buying and selling in the fashion industry. This component will equip the student with the confidence and poise to gain an advantage in the workforce.
