Would you like to improve your design skills? and learn tips to help develop creative ideas that can be transformed into a fashion range.

The aim of this course is to help students generate design concepts that are marketable as well as being unique.

Learn drawing techniques to help you convey your design ideas. Looking at successful fashion labels ranges and how they have coordinated the range and targeted it to their customers. Understanding what is required to create a fashion range.

• How to put together a fashion range
• How to positon your designs within the marketplace
• Using trend forecast reports to generate concepts
• Understanding figure flattery principles to incorporate into your designs
• Fashion drawing basics
• Design presentation techniques
• Introduction to textiles
• Evaluate commercial viability of designs
• Developing your ideas into a cohesive collection
• Developing a storyboard / themeboard
  

Course Duration

15 lessons X 3 hrs. (total 45 hours) Over 10 weeks. (5 days will be from 9.30 - 12.30 and 5 days will be from 9.30am - 3pm).
